Ipsden Playground
After kind gifts, fundraising and many years of dealing with planning and bureaucratic obstacles, Ipsden Parish Council opened a playground in July 2005 for village children.
Super new swings and a games wall were the first stage, but in the Autumn of 2005, the village received a super gift of a playset from Mrs Maxwell, a long standing resident who recently moved away and no longer required this set. The Playset includes slides, a tyre swing, climbing ropes and a playhouse. The Parish Council and indeed, all villagers, express grateful thanks to Mrs Maxwell.
As can be seen from the pictures below, the field is fenced and large, and the grass is beautifully lush and green. The children can play to their heart's content.
